Casa Brasileira
To design communal spaces that evoke people's emotional memories and transcend function and the status quo. This is one of the guiding principles behind Jader Almeida's development for Casa Brasileira Itaim, a high-end project by developers Lucio and Omar Maksoud in São Paulo, launched in August 2021.
All the original furniture, in addition to pieces developed exclusively for the space, is present in 100% of the common areas. The seating designed for the hall is particularly noteworthy: one with very sinuous curves – which has a commercial version called Wired – and another monolithic one. Furthermore, the sculptural light fixture fills the space between the lower floor and the mezzanine, with lights focused on a large-scale structure.
The common areas, both indoor and outdoor, were taken into consideration in the project. Furthermore, the curated art and style of the spaces, as well as the aromas and music within each environment, reinforce the design identity.
