The Brick collection evokes the idea of small blocks that, when arranged together, form expansive surfaces—structures, enclosures, shelters, and walls. Here, however, this composition takes on a unique approach: rather than a repetitive mass, it becomes a visual metaphor, where each block is subtracted, leaving only the vertical and horizontal lines that outline the structure. The result is an interplay of solids and voids, lending lightness and rhythm to the piece. This openwork pattern, almost kinetic, interacts with light and shadow, transforming depending on the observer’s viewpoint and adding dynamism to the design. On these bases, surfaces in marble, glass, or wood expand the compositional possibilities, making the Brick collection versatile and adaptable to different contexts and styles.
